Itinerary of 9 Days Morocco Tour

    Agadir desert tour

Day 1: Arrival at Agadir Airport

Upon landing at Agadir’s modern international airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by your English-speaking driver/guide. After a short transfer to your carefully selected hotel, take time to unwind at the beachfront property or explore Agadir’s rebuilt medina. Enjoy your first Moroccan sunset over the Atlantic with dinner at leisure.

Day 2: Agadir – Taliouine – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Morning departure takes you inland through the Anti-Atlas foothills, stopping in Taliouine to visit a saffron cooperative where you’ll learn about Morocco’s “red gold.” Continue through changing landscapes to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, where your guide will lead you through the ancient ksar’s winding alleys. Evening arrival in Ouarzazate includes an orientation walk around this desert gateway city.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Roses Valley – Dades Valley – Todgha Gorge – Merzouga

Today’s scenic drive reveals the Valley of Roses, where you’ll visit a distillation cooperative during harvest season (April-May). The route winds through the Dades Valley’s “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” before reaching spectacular Todgha Gorge for a canyon walk. As afternoon fades, arrive in Merzouga for a magical camel caravan into the dunes at sunset.

Day 4: Merzouga to Dades Valley

After sunrise over the dunes and breakfast at camp, we depart for Dades Valley. En route, we’ll stop in Rissani to visit its traditional market (on market days) and see remnants of the ancient Sijilmassa trading post. The highlight of the day is Todra Gorge, where 300-meter cliffs tower above a palm-filled canyon. We’ll arrive in Dades Valley by evening, staying at a hotel with spectacular views of the “monkey fingers” rock formations.

Day 5: Dades Valley to Marrakech

Our journey continues through the Valley of Roses, where thousands of rose bushes bloom each spring. We’ll visit Skoura’s impressive palm grove before reaching Ait Benhaddou, the famous kasbah featured in many Hollywood films. After lunch, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass, arriving in Marrakech by evening. You’ll spend the night in a riad within the medina walls.

    Day 6: Marrakech Cultural Discovery

Your expert local guide reveals the Red City’s treasures: the ornate Saadian Tombs, 16th-century Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the exquisite Bahia Palace. After lunch in the medina, visit the vibrant souks before cooling off in Majorelle Garden’s tropical oasis. Evening at leisure to explore more culinary delights.

    Day 7: Marrakech – Ounagha – Essaouira

Coastal-bound today, stopping at a women’s Argan cooperative to witness the labor-intensive oil production. Arriving in windswept Essaouira, explore the Portuguese ramparts and bustling fishing port before fresh seafood lunch. Wander the blue-shuttered medina’s art galleries and artisan workshops at your pace.

    Day 8: Essaouira – Imsouane – Agadir

Southbound along the Atlantic coast, stopping in Imsouane’s crescent bay to watch surfers ride long waves. Visit a traditional Berber village before returning to Agadir for a farewell dinner overlooking the marina.

    Day 9: Agadir Departure

Private transfer to Agadir Airport timed with your flight, with assistance for check-in and fond farewells from your Morocco Helping Tours team.

A Memorable Moroccan trip with an Amazing Guide! I just had the most unforgettable trip to Morocco with 13 incredible women! From the moment we arrived in Marrakech to our final stop in the stunning blue city of Chefchaouen, everything was seamless. We explored vibrant souks, historic places, and breathtaking landscapes. We rode dromedary (Arabian camel) at sunset, soared in a hot air balloon at sunrise, hiked through Monkey Fingers, and danced under the stars to Berber music and lot more. Our guide, Moh, made the experience even more enjoyable. He has a deep knowledge of Morocco’s history and culture. He was not only informative but also incredibly friendly, respectful and fun. He cared for each of us, ensuring we all were comfortable and engaged throughout the trip. Whether it was lending a helping hand in a challenging hike, helping negotiate prices at the shops, or answering any question about Morocco, he was always there. He carries a certain pride and passion for being a tour guide, and it shows.Beyond the itinerary, I fell in love with the warmth and hospitality of the Moroccan people. Whomever I interacted with, I was met with kindness and respect. The warmth, their hospitality, their stories, and, of course their mint tea - made my trip truly special and memorable. I will definitely be returning to Morocco in the future. If you’re considering visiting, I highly recommend it - especially with a guide like Moh! 😊

Great time! We had the best time with Mohammed as our guide over two days in Marrakech! We were a group of four, myself, my mom, and my identical twin 18 year old boys. We all loved all of the activities Mohammed planned. He gave us a lot of history and my boys really connected with him. Highly recommend!

Mo's the one for the best experience in Morocco I was part of a group tour with 15 other women starting from Marrakech through the Dades Valley to the Sahara Desert ending in Fes. Mo is hands down the best tour guide I've ever had the pleasure of joining a tour group with. He's such a personable, jovial guide knowledgeable of the history of the place and yet so easy to connect with. From the airport pickups/drop offs, to the souks, to hot air ballooning, to the slot canyon hikes to the desert safari, Mo's your man. He will give you an all rounder experience of Morocco.Never a dull moment with him.

The best guide in all of Morocco! I have traveled extensively all over the world and hired guides in various countries and Mo is hands-down the BEST guide I’ve ever had! I recently hosted two groups of women in Morocco and without his help, our trips wouldn’t have gone as smooth (or as fun)! Mo went above and beyond to make sure our trips were unforgettable in every way. From the logistics, to all of the recommendations, to the communication, to the activities and excursions, everything about our trips was flawless and surpassed my expectations. Mo is very knowledgeable and passionate about his country, history and culture which only adds to your experience in Morocco. He is also very fun to be around!I am so grateful for all of Mo’s help, expertise and dedication in ensuring that my group trips were a success. I will definitely be back in Morocco and will be using Mo’s services again. 10/10 would recommend using this company for your trip to Morocco! 🤩

Best guide for our 10 day trip Thank you, Mo, for a wonderful experience in Morocco! You are knowledgeable, patient, and funny — the perfect guide for our group of 16 women. I’m the type of person who usually tries to save money by not hiring a guide, but I know for sure that I wouldn’t have had such an amazing experience without Mo’s guidance. If you’re considering Mo for your trip to Morocco, go for it - you won’t regret it!

Traversing across Morocco Morocco Helping Tours was fantastic. Mo was informative sharing all sorts of the history and culture across Morocco as we went from city to city and village to village. Mo helped us navigate the streets and find great food and delicious coffee. Our group had a lot of laughs as we enjoyed Morocco together, including sand boarding. Would highly recommend.
