Itinerary of 7 Days Morocco Tour

    Agadir desert tour

Day 1: Agadir → Taliouine → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate

Your journey begins with a pickup from your Agadir hotel. Travel inland through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages. Stop in Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital, to visit a local cooperative and learn about this precious spice. Continue to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and backdrop for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah and enjoying lunch, drive to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Spend the night in a traditional riad, soaking in the atmosphere of this cinematic city.

Day 2: Ouarzazate → Roses Valley → Todgha Gorge → Merzouga

After breakfast, depart for the Sahara Desert. Your first stop is the fragrant Roses Valley, where you’ll visit a cooperative to see how rosewater and oils are made (best in April–May). Next, marvel at the dramatic Todgha Gorge, where 300-meter-high cliffs tower above a winding river. Enjoy lunch en route before arriving in Merzouga. Here, switch to camels for a sunset trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Spend the night in a luxury desert camp, complete with Berber music, a traditional dinner, and stargazing.

    Day 3: Merzouga Desert Exploration

Wake early for a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, embark on a 4×4 excursion to a Gnawa village, where you’ll experience their spiritual music and vibrant culture. Later, visit a nomadic Berber family in their traditional tent, sharing mint tea and learning about desert life. Stop at Rissani’s bustling market, a historic trading hub, for lunch. Return to your Merzouga hotel in the afternoon to relax by the pool.

Day 4: Merzouga → Draa Valley → High Atlas → Marrakech

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Marrakech. Pass through the lush Draa Valley, dotted with palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass(2,260m), stopping for photos of the breathtaking vistas. Arrive in Marrakech by evening and check into your riad in the medina.

    Day 5: Marrakech Sightseeing

Today, explore the Red City with a local guide. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and the ornate Saadian Tombs. Wander through the Ben Youssef Madrasa, then enjoy lunch near Jemaa el-Fnaa square. In the afternoon, visit the vibrant Majorelle Gardens and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. The evening is free to explore the souks or enjoy a rooftop dinner.

Day 6: Marrakech → Argan Cooperative → Essaouira

Leave Marrakech for the coastal town of Essaouira. En route, stop at a women’s Argan cooperative to see how Morocco’s famous oil is made. Upon arrival, explore the Portuguese ramparts, fishing port, and blue-and-white medina. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch, then spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or browsing artisan shops. Overnight in a riad in the old town.

    Day 7: Essaouira → Imsouane → Agadir

On your final day, drive south along the coast to Agadir. Stop in Imsouane, a charming fishing village known for its long surf breaks. Pass through argan forests and traditional Berber villages before arriving in Agadir. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your adventure.

A Memorable Moroccan trip with an Amazing Guide! I just had the most unforgettable trip to Morocco with 13 incredible women! From the moment we arrived in Marrakech to our final stop in the stunning blue city of Chefchaouen, everything was seamless. We explored vibrant souks, historic places, and breathtaking landscapes. We rode dromedary (Arabian camel) at sunset, soared in a hot air balloon at sunrise, hiked through Monkey Fingers, and danced under the stars to Berber music and lot more. Our guide, Moh, made the experience even more enjoyable. He has a deep knowledge of Morocco’s history and culture. He was not only informative but also incredibly friendly, respectful and fun. He cared for each of us, ensuring we all were comfortable and engaged throughout the trip. Whether it was lending a helping hand in a challenging hike, helping negotiate prices at the shops, or answering any question about Morocco, he was always there. He carries a certain pride and passion for being a tour guide, and it shows.Beyond the itinerary, I fell in love with the warmth and hospitality of the Moroccan people. Whomever I interacted with, I was met with kindness and respect. The warmth, their hospitality, their stories, and, of course their mint tea - made my trip truly special and memorable. I will definitely be returning to Morocco in the future. If you’re considering visiting, I highly recommend it - especially with a guide like Moh! 😊

Great time! We had the best time with Mohammed as our guide over two days in Marrakech! We were a group of four, myself, my mom, and my identical twin 18 year old boys. We all loved all of the activities Mohammed planned. He gave us a lot of history and my boys really connected with him. Highly recommend!

Mo's the one for the best experience in Morocco I was part of a group tour with 15 other women starting from Marrakech through the Dades Valley to the Sahara Desert ending in Fes. Mo is hands down the best tour guide I've ever had the pleasure of joining a tour group with. He's such a personable, jovial guide knowledgeable of the history of the place and yet so easy to connect with. From the airport pickups/drop offs, to the souks, to hot air ballooning, to the slot canyon hikes to the desert safari, Mo's your man. He will give you an all rounder experience of Morocco.Never a dull moment with him.

The best guide in all of Morocco! I have traveled extensively all over the world and hired guides in various countries and Mo is hands-down the BEST guide I’ve ever had! I recently hosted two groups of women in Morocco and without his help, our trips wouldn’t have gone as smooth (or as fun)! Mo went above and beyond to make sure our trips were unforgettable in every way. From the logistics, to all of the recommendations, to the communication, to the activities and excursions, everything about our trips was flawless and surpassed my expectations. Mo is very knowledgeable and passionate about his country, history and culture which only adds to your experience in Morocco. He is also very fun to be around!I am so grateful for all of Mo’s help, expertise and dedication in ensuring that my group trips were a success. I will definitely be back in Morocco and will be using Mo’s services again. 10/10 would recommend using this company for your trip to Morocco! 🤩

Best guide for our 10 day trip Thank you, Mo, for a wonderful experience in Morocco! You are knowledgeable, patient, and funny — the perfect guide for our group of 16 women. I’m the type of person who usually tries to save money by not hiring a guide, but I know for sure that I wouldn’t have had such an amazing experience without Mo’s guidance. If you’re considering Mo for your trip to Morocco, go for it - you won’t regret it!

Traversing across Morocco Morocco Helping Tours was fantastic. Mo was informative sharing all sorts of the history and culture across Morocco as we went from city to city and village to village. Mo helped us navigate the streets and find great food and delicious coffee. Our group had a lot of laughs as we enjoyed Morocco together, including sand boarding. Would highly recommend.
