Day 1: Marrakech → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Rose Valley → Dades Gorges

Your adventure begins at 8:00 AM with pickup from your Marrakech accommodation. We’ll immediately set out across the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). Along the way, we’ll stop to admire the stunning mountain scenery and traditional Berber villages.

After crossing the mountains, we’ll reach the iconic Ait Benhaddou. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has starred in numerous films including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You’ll have time to explore this ancient mud-brick kasbah and enjoy lunch nearby.

Next, we’ll visit Ouarzazate, known as Morocco’s “Hollywood,” where we’ll see the famous film studios. Continuing south, we’ll discover the fragrant Rose Valley, where local farmers harvest rose petals for cosmetics and perfumes. The day concludes with a scenic drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs before arriving at our Dades Valley hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Dades Gorges → Todra Gorges → Erfoud → Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Todra Valley, a lush oasis surrounded by traditional mud villages. We’ll then explore the breathtaking Todra Gorges, where 500m-high cliffs tower above palm groves and Berber settlements. Following lunch in the gorge, we’ll continue toward the Sahara.

En route, we’ll see ancient khettarat irrigation systems before reaching Merzouga in the late afternoon. Here, your camel caravan awaits for a sunset trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. You’ll spend the night in a comfortable desert camp, enjoying traditional Berber music and stargazing under the vast Sahara sky.

Day 3: Merzouga → Daraa Valley → Ouarzazate → Atlas Mountains → Marrakech

Wake early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the dunes before returning to Merzouga by camel. After breakfast and refreshing showers, we’ll begin our journey back to Marrakech.

Our route takes us through the stunning Daraa Valley, Morocco’s largest palm oasis and primary date-producing region. We’ll make several scenic stops in the Anti-Atlas Mountains before crossing back over the High Atlas. You’ll arrive in Marrakech by evening, where we’ll drop you at your accommodation.
