4 days Marrakech Fes desert tour itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges.

4 days Marrakech to Fes desert tour departure: Morocco Helping Tour guide will pick you up from your Hotel/riad in Marrakech at 8:00 a.m, our 3 days Marrakesh Fes tour will take us over the heart of high Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m). We’ll stop to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the mountains and the special Berber Villages on the way. Once, we cross the mountains we get to the gate of the desert, the oldest and most famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – A Unesco World Heritage Site used as a backdrop for more than 20 films (Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Games of Thrones…We will stop for lunch, then visit this old mud kasbah. Then we will travel through the city of Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) – with the biggest cinema studios – after then, we continue south to the Valley of Roses where around 400 tons of rose petals are picked every year and sent to be processed into rose water, which we called it also as the distillation of roses in order to produce the creams and perfumes. Later, we will drive all along the road of thousand kasbahs before arriving at Dades Valley, overnight in a hotel /riad overlooking the Valley.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga – Sahara Desert.

After breakfast in the hotel/riad. We set off to Todra Valley: a green fertile valley surrounded by old mud villages, then we drive around 14 km, we get to Todra Gorges: a canyon rising to 500m in a valley dotted with Palm trees and Berber Villages. After lunch in the gorge, we will drive to the Desert (Erg Chebbi) passing by an old underground irrigation system (Khettarat), which is a system that helps people to water their farms. We will continue south, We reach the Sahara desert where your camels are waiting to give you a ride crossing the golden dunes. The final stop will be at the camel place where we are going to ride them and spend an overnight in the nomadic tent and enjoy the company of a band playing Berber music under the stars in the heart of the desert/ Sahara, This a beautiful experience that you might need to film. the desert/ Sahara.

Day 3: Exploring the desert area (culture and history)

After breakfast in the riad/hotel you will start an explorative journey of the area. You’ll visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle. After that, we will drive in desert area where you will have the opportunity to meet the nomad families still living in Berber tents and explore their way of life. Today our lunch will be local meal (Berber pezza) with a local family. You may also visit the souk in Rissani, a traditional town which was the origin of the ruling family in Morocco and the meeting place of the Caravans trading as far as Timbuctou in Mali. Here you will see a lot of men hooded and women veiled. After this long journey you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you check in to your riad/ hotel where your dinner and breakfast are included.

Day 4: Sahara Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest- Ifrane – Fes

Wake up early to see one of the best sunrises in your life on the top of the riad/hotel. After then breakfast will be served by the staff of the guest house. we will drive to Erfoud (the capital of fossils and date) where we are going to discover the process of beautiful mineral fossils. Then we will leave to Fez traveling through Aoufous and Ziz Valley where we’ll stop to appreciate the panoramic views of the main source of date to the country of Morocco. We will stop for lunch in Midelt (the capital of the apple) and we will continue to take pictures of wild monkeys (Barbarian Apes) in the Cedarwoods of Azrou , which is considered as the largest and biggest forest in all over the country. We proceed through Moroccan Switzerland(ifrane) where we will have around 15 minutes to explore it and enjoying our time there. Day 1: Agadir – Taliouine- Ait Ben Haddou- Ouarzazate.

Your 6 days tour from Agadir will start by passing through Berber villages where you can have a stop regarding your interest. On our way, we will stop at one of the Cooperatives of SAFRAN as it is the main economy of that city. Continuing driving to Toudra gorges which are a series of limestone river canyons, we will stop for 20 minutes to discover the area of gorges and lunch will be at one of the restaurants on our way to Merzouga. Later on, The final stop will be at the camel place where we are going to ride them and spend an overnight in the nomadic tent and enjoy the company of a band playing Berber music under the stars in the heart of the desert/ Sahara, This a beautiful experience that you might need to film. Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volibilis(Roman ruins) – Meknes – Fes.

After the traditional breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen (bleu pearl), crossing the Rif Mountains and passing through green land which is full of different types of products. Arriving at the Roman site (Volubilis) is a partly excavated Berber city in Morocco situated near the city of Meknes, and commonly considered as the ancient capital of the kingdom of Mauretania. Built in a fertile agricultural area, it developed from the 3rd century BC onward as a Berber, then proto-Carthaginian, settlement before being the capital of the kingdom of Mauretania. Driving to Meknes where we will have lunch and explore the main site of the city. Day 3: Fes – Ifrane- Cedar Forest- Medalt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

After breakfast, you will start your long day where you will see different things in one day. Our itinerary will start from the first imperial city of Morocco (Fes) toward the Sahara desert. We will travel through the middle Atlas Mountains. In our way, we will pass through the city of Ifrane which is known as “Moroccan Switzerland” because of its building. We will continue to the home of the native barbarian apes the cedar forest, the largest and the biggest one in Morocco. Day 4: MERZOUGA – TAOUZ – RAMLIA – TAFRAOUT (Adventure day)

While you are enjoying the sunrise at the heart of the dunes and taking beautiful memories your camel man will take you back to the hotel where you will enjoy your breakfast and have a hot shower as well. The adventure journey will take us around 8 hours towards Tafraout village. The day will include one of the old military areas of the French colonial during its occupation of Morocco. Most of the day is just having the adventure on the dry land by passing through different villages where few families and nomadic people are in their tents, then we will have the opportunity to discover their daily life. Our lunch will be traditional and organized by us as a part of our daily life food. Day 5: TAFRAOUT – ALNIF – TOUDRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY

After breakfast at the hotel, we will have enough time to explore the farms and the kind of agriculture that people use in this area. En route, we will enjoy the view of the place where people cultivate and harvest the wit and hay. We drive to Todra Gorges as the main place to have a picnic because it has a wonderful view. Arriving at Dades Valley you will have an overnight in a hotel that sheds light and has a good view of the valley.

Day 6: DADES VALLEY – ROSES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH

Today we travel off-road and explore the region between the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses. You will encounter the local nomads, some of whom still live in caves and tents. At El-Kelaa M’Gouna up to 4000 tonnes of rose petals are picked every spring to be processed into rosewater or exported for the perfume industry. The Rose Festival is held here in May. As we travel from El-Kelaa M’Gouna towards Skoura you will see Kasbahs set out among the greenery of the Dades Valley. The small town of Skoura is surrounded by an impressive palm grove and the most beautiful Kasbahs in southern Morocco are to be found here. Continuing south we arrive at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, probably the most celebrated, filmed, and photographed Kasbah in Morocco. Featured in numerous films (including Lawrence of Arabia, The Sheltering Sky, and Gladiator), it is the best-preserved Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Day 1: Casablanca- Rabat- Chefchaouen.

9 days Casablanca desert trip departure: You will meet the company professional guide at Casablanca’s Mohammed V airport to start your tour. First of all, you will set off for Hassan II mosque (the second largest religious building in the world which is open to non-Muslims). Later on, we will set off to the administrative capital of Morocco (Rabat). We will start with the Bad Challah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, one of the main gates of the royal palace, and the Oudaya Kasbah. Continuing our journey we travel via the city of Kenitra, located in one of Morocco’s main agricultural areas, and over the Rif Mountains to Wazzan and finally our destination of Chefchaouen. Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fes

Today you are going to have a free morning to explore the bleu city and an experience on its side by taking some pictures as memories. After lunch, we will set off to the city of Fes via different and amazing panoramic views where you are going to stop to discover it. Arriving at the Moroccan old city (Fes) where your accommodation is at the Medina (old city).

Day 3: Exploring Fes (Culture tour with local guide).

After breakfast, you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 14th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Karaouine University, considered the oldest one in the world, the Tanneries, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Depending on what time of year you visit, you may have a visit to the lake of Merzouga and its bird population such as the “Flamingos”. In the afternoon we will shift to the Raid and you will have time relax.

Day 6: MERZOUGA- RISSANI- TOUDRA GORGES- DADES VALLEY.

After having a traditional breakfast at the riad in front of the dunes and log out it. Later on, we will drive to Dades valley passing through the city of Rissani/Sijilmassa which is one of the main stops of the commercial caravans that coming from Africa. On Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday there will be an opportunity to visit the traditional market of Rissani. We drive to Todra gorges as the main place for having a picnic because it is a wonderful view. Arriving at Dades valley where you will have an overnight in a hotel that sheds the light and have a good view of the valley.

Day 7: DADES VALLEY- ROSES VALLEY – OUARZAZAT- MARRAKECH.

In the afternoon, your driver will take you to visit the famous Majorelle Garden, Menara Garden and having a look at the new medina (geliz) of Marrakech. In the evening we will go back to the Raid.
