    Marrakech Desert tour

Day 1: Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Rose Valley → Dades Gorges

Your adventure begins with an 8:00 AM pickup from your Marrakech hotel/riad. We’ll traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), stopping to admire panoramic views and traditional Berber villages. Descending into the desert, we’ll visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou—a UNESCO-listed ksar featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch and exploration, we continue to Ouarzazate (Africa’s “Hollywood”) and the fragrant Valley of Roses, where rose petals are harvested for perfumes. The day ends in Dades Valley, where you’ll overnight in a hotel/riad overlooking dramatic cliffs.

Day 2: Dades Gorges → Todra Gorges → Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

After breakfast, journey through the lush Todra Valley to the stunning Todra Gorges, a 500m-deep canyon lined with palm groves. Post-lunch, we head toward the Sahara, passing ancient khettaratirrigation systems. Arriving in Merzouga, you’ll mount camels for a sunset trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Spend the night in a luxury desert camp, enjoying Berber music and stargazing.

    Day 3: Merzouga → Alnif → N’koub → Ouarzazate

Wake early for a magical sunrise over the dunes before returning to your riad for breakfast. We then drive west through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing Berber villages and the sprawling Draa Valley(Morocco’s “date palm capital”). After lunch in a local restaurant, arrive in Ouarzazate for an evening at leisure in your riad.

Day 4: Ouarzazate → High Atlas → Marrakech

After breakfast, we return to Marrakech via the High Atlas, with stops for photos and refreshments. Drop-off at your accommodation marks the end of this unforgettable 4-day Sahara loop.
