6 days Marrakech desert tour itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive at Marrakech airport.

6 days Marrakech desert tour departure: The guide of the Morocco Helping Tour will meet you and pick you up at your riad/hotel accommodation.

Day 2: Marrakech sightseeing (cultural tour with local guide).

After breakfast in the riad, you will start exploring Marrakech “the Red City of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see most of the sites with historical and cultural interest – including the famous Jemaa El Fna square, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian tombs; the Palace of Bahia, and the Ben Youssef Koranic School. Lunch at a restaurant near the square, then in the afternoon visit the Majorelle Gardens, and have a short visit to the new city of Marrakech. Overnight accommodation will be at the same riad.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges

Morocco Helping Tour guide will pick you up from your Hotel/riad in Marrakech at 8:00 a.m, our 3 days Marrakesh Fes tour will take us over the heart of the high Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m). We’ll stop to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the mountains and the special Berber Villages on the way. Once, we cross the mountains we get to the gate of the desert, the oldest and most famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – A Unesco World Heritage Site used as a backdrop for more than 20 films (Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Games of Thrones…We will stop for lunch, then visit this old mud kasbah. Then we will travel through the city of Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) – with the biggest cinema studios – after then, we continue south to the Valley of Roses where around 400 tons of rose petals are picked every year and sent to be processed into rose water, which we called it also as the distillation of roses in order to produce the creams and perfumes. Later, we will drive all along the road of thousand kasbahs before arriving at Dades Valley, overnight in a hotel /riad overlooking the Valley.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga – Sahara Desert

Today after breakfast in the hotel/riad and we will set off to Todra Valley: a green fertile valley surrounded by old mud villages, then we drive around 14 km, we get to Todra Gorges: a canyon rising to 500m in a valley dotted with Palm trees and Berber Villages. After lunch in the gorge, we will drive to the Desert (Erg Chebbi) passing by an old underground irrigation system (Khettarat), which is a system that helps people to water their farms. We will continue south, We reach the Sahara desert where your camels are waiting to give you a ride crossing the golden dunes. The final stop will be at the camel place where we are going to ride them and spend an overnight in the nomadic tent and enjoy the company of a band playing Berber music under the stars in the heart of the desert/ Sahara, This a beautiful experience that you might need to film. the desert/ Sahara.

Day 5: Merzouga desert – Ouarzazate

Your camel guides will wake you up in the early morning to experience the magic and best sunrise among the dunes which will be the fabulous one in your life. After that you will go back by camel to the riad/hotel in order to take a shower and having a traditional breakfast. Later on, we will start our journey towards the city of Ouarzazat (the Hollywood of Africa) and have some stops on the unique panoramic views among the Anti-Atlas Mountains. We will pass through many villages of different Berber tribes. The main stop will take us place in daraa valley You will wake up early to experience an amazing sunrise in the top of the big sand dunes, then, which is the largest and longest valley full of the palm trees, it considered also as the main source of the date the county. After lunch in a traditional restaurant we will drive directly to Ouarzazat where our riad accommodation take place.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – High atlas- Marrakech

After breakfast in the riad, we will set off for Marrakech over the high Atlas Mountains. Arrival at Marrakech where the service of Morocco Helping Tours Company end.

5 days Fez to Marrakech itinerary:

Day 1: FES- MIDDLE ATLASS MOUNTAINS- MEDALT- Ziz gorges- MERZOUGA (Camel rides).

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes where our 4 days tour will start. Our itinerary will start from the first imperial city of Morocco (Fes) toward the Sahara desert. We will travel through the middle Atlas Mountains. In our way, we will pass through the city of Ifrane which is known as “Moroccan Switzerland” because of its building. We will continue to the home of the native barbarian apes which the cedar forest, the largest and the biggest one in Morocco. After crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains we will see many tents and caves of the nomadic families before stopping at the city of Medalt which famous for the apples. En route, and before arriving the overnight accommodation to have a warm res we will have a stop at the palm groves which is an impressive view of the palm trees.5 days Fez Marrakech desert tour

Day 2: MERZOUGA (desert area) – OVERNIGHT AT THE CAMP.

After the traditional breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to explore the desert area starting with one of the most attractive irrigation systems, where the inhabitant has to use over 100 years. From there to the village of KHAMLIA to discover a new style of life full music and Gnaoua culture. They are originally from different African countries but they became a part of the Berber tribe who is in the same area. Today you will experience the favorite food of this area which is “Berber pizza” organized by a Berber family. In the afternoon, we will drive to the camel rides where you will have your adventure using camels among the dunes and having the overnight in a nomadic camp. You will spend a wonderful experience night while having a traditional Berber music and a beautiful view of stars and moon in the middle of nowhere.

Day 3: MERZOUGA- RISSANI- TOUDRA GORGES- DADES VALLEY

While you were enjoying the sunrise at the heart of the dunes and taking beautiful memories your camel man will take you back to the hotel where you will enjoy your breakfast and having a hot shower as well. Later on, we will drive to Dades valley passing through the city of Rissani/Sijilmassa which is one of the main stops of the commercial caravans that coming from Africa. On Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday there will be an opportunity to visit the traditional market of Rissani. We drive to Todra gorges as the main place of having a picnic because it is a wonderful view. Day 4: DADES VALLEY- ROSES VALLEY – OUARZAZAT- MARRAKECH

Today we travel off-road and explore the region between the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses. You will encounter the local nomads, some of whom still live in caves and tents. At El-Kelaa M’Gouna up to 4000 tonnes of rose petals are picked every spring to be processed into rosewater or exported for the perfume industry. The Rose Festival is held here in May. As we travel from El-Kelaa M’Gouna towards Skoura you will see Kasbahs set out among the greenery of the Dades Valley. The small town of Skoura is surrounded by an impressive palm grove and the most beautiful Kasbahs in southern Morocco are to be found here. Continuing south we arrive at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, probably the most celebrated, filmed and photographed Kasbah in Morocco. Featured in numerous films (including Lawrence of Arabia, The Sheltering Sky and Gladiator), it is the best-preserved Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Crossing the mountains via the Tizi n Tichka pass, we arrive in Marrakesh where you will have an overnight at the heart of the medina (ancient city).5 days Fez Marrakech desert tour

Day 5: MARRAKECH (city tour by local guide)

After breakfast at your Riad, the local guide will pick you up to start exploring the city of Marrakech. Today will see the most attractive sights and monuments that Marrakech contains including Bahia Palace, Koutoubia mosque, Saadian tombs, Jamaa El Fanaa Square as well as exploring the traditional Souk of the city. In the afternoon, your driver will take you to visit the famous Majorelle Garden, and Menara Garden, and having a look at the new medina ( geliz) of Marrakech. Later on, he will drop you off at your accommodation where your experience ends with our expert team.
